Dear
Parent/Carer,
As
you are aware, we were recently inspected by Ofsted and I am now able to share
the outcomes with you. The report is a ‘good reflection’ of where we are at the
present time, as we continue to evolve through the new journey we started in
September 2011 when, due to school intake changes, everything changed in terms
of the age range of the children as well as management.
I
would like to draw your attention to some particularly positive comments and
high light an area to address from the report.
Thank you to those who were able to give feedback on the day:
v
Ofsted
note that all the children seem settled, happy and confident in the group and are
proud of their achievements.
v
Hygiene
standards are high
v
Working
relationships with parents is good
v
"Robust
safeguarding" (this is most important and a fundamental
part of looking after children)
v
Risk
assessment
(we are aware of current shortfall in
paperwork backing up our rigorous risk assessment routines and the process of
preparing paperwork to reflect our practises is already well underway)
We
will be writing up an action plan with dates for achieving targets to ensure
that our evidence is consistent as we continue to evolve.
Please
do approach me with any issues you may have, with regard to the Ofsted report
or any other matters. This can be done
through the usual channels: email; in writing; telephone; or speaking with me
in person.
Thank
you for taking the time to read the report.
Kind
regards,
Janet
